Construction CalculatorsPrivate, browser-local tools

Method, limits, and privacy

What the calculation does

When room dimensions are provided, the worksheet calculates wall area as 2 × (length + width) × height, optionally adds length × width for a ceiling, then subtracts explicitly entered opening area. Metre inputs are converted to square feet for comparison with stated quote areas. It does not calculate materials, code requirements, labour, waste, local prices, taxes, permits, or job quality.

A known adjusted scenario adds only an explicitly entered allowance for work marked excluded. A blank amount stays unprovided. Work marked unclear stays unresolved and prevents a direct-comparability verdict. An included allowance is never added again.

Limits

Descriptions, areas, and scope states are user-entered summaries of written quotes. Similar wording does not prove equal workmanship or materials. A result is a discussion aid, not a recommendation to hire a contractor or legal, tax, building, or permitting advice.

Privacy

The tool runs entirely in the browser. It has no accounts, uploads, OCR, analytics, tracking pixels, forms, cloud storage, or network requests. Print uses the browser's own print dialogue. Do not enter information you do not want displayed in your local browser or print preview.

Future measurement, only after separate authorization

A deployed version could use privacy-reviewed aggregate events for qualified starts and valid completed comparisons only. It must never send quote totals, room dimensions, scope notes, finish descriptions, or contractor names. Indexed pages and relevant organic impressions/clicks would be measured in Search Console. Revenue, cash expenses, and maintenance minutes would be recorded separately with dates and sources. The frozen Stage 6U 7/30/60/90/180-day plan remains a future measurement plan, not a launch result.

The calculation method and experimental boundaries are documented in the local Stage 6U approved build proposal and measurement plan. No competitor tables, coefficients, prices, or assets are copied into this tool.
